Civil Development Project

Cairns - Bluewater Estate, Trinity Beach

Client - Brookfield Multiplex Pty Ltd

Project Achievements - FCG was commissioned to the project after the completion of Stage 1 design.  The Master Plan was reviewed and the adopted revised concept offered significant savings to the developer through the optimization of the stormwater and sewerage networks (e.g. a reduction in the number of sewerage pump stations to be installed).

Brookfield Multiplex’s Bluewater Development at Trinity Park in Cairns is a major land development project which consists of approximately 950 residential lots.  Moores Gully bisects the site and require re-grading and re-profiling to minimize floor impacts both within the development and the existing adjacent properties.  The rehabilitation of some 320,000 cubic metres of acid sulphate soils allowed the site to be graded to optimize the servicing of the property with stormwater drainage and sewerage networks.  The design and documentation of a major “district” Pump Station and emergency storage facility was required to service the development.
